Flavour Savour: Pannetone
13th Nov 2024
Big thanks to Italy, for pizza, pasta, opera, slightly dramatic soccer players and the ultimate holiday gift – Panettone.
With the upfront complexity of Christmas cake spices, settle in for notes of coconut, vanilla custard and dried fruits, combining for a whale of a coffee reminiscent of this iconic light and buttery sweet bread & fruit cake.
Roasted with the frothers in mind (whatever milk you fancy), it’s a sweet and fruity ride that’ll have even the toughest Nonna coming back for seconds.
Our secret sauce - is not so secret.
Panettone is all about 3 key components: Christmas Spices and Mixed Fruit infused coffees, a Colombia mix and most importantly - coffee roasting finesse.
Infused coffee, “Is that flavoured syrup?” Nope, but that’s a fair guess. So how are our roasters able to nail these crazy flavours? Meet coffee producer, Rodrigo Sanchez.
Rodrigo is a fourth-generation coffee producer based in Huila, Colombia. His family has been in the specialty coffee scene for 21 years, with 420 hectares of land in coffee production. Thanks to his innovative experimental processing methods, particularly with the infusion of different fruits and flavours in his coffees (during processing), his farms produce unique profiles recognised globally.
