The May 2025 Single Origin Lineup
7th May 2025
We’re exploring what happens when origin, process, and creativity collide. Our latest single origin line-up brings together six coffees that span the spectrum—from structured washed Kenyans and Colombian Pink Bourbon to bold naturals and experimental anaerobics from Costa Rica, Burundi, and Indonesia. It’s a line-up built to challenge expectations, push flavour boundaries, and deliver coffees that don’t just taste good—they tell a bigger story. Whether you brew espresso, filter, or somewhere in between, this rotation is about moving beyond the familiar, one cup at a time.
SINGLE ORIGIN ESPRESSO

RIMIRO, BURUNDI
If you’re a fan of Burundian coffee, this one’s worth a try. Unlike most coffees from Burundi, which are typically washed, this lot is naturally processed at the Rimiro washing station. It offers a fresh take on the classic profile—think sweet citrus notes, especially orange, layered with a gentle, sugary sweetness of praline.

CARAZON DE JESUS, COSTA RICA
refined take on a classic. Another coffee from the Alvarado Fonseca family and for good reason. This is another standout from the Alvarado Fonseca family—and with good reason. Naturally processed, it brings a refined tropical acidity, complemented by the familiar flavours of cherry and dark chocolate. Picture a tropical black forest cake. If you can’t quite imagine it, just give it a try.

EL MESON COLOMBIA
This coffee representing some of the finer lots from Colombia. Anchored in the classic Colombian profile, with balanced acidity and flavour, this Pink Bourbon reveals an additional layer of complexity, complete with orange-like acidity, plump blackberry, and toffee. The espresso format helps exhibit its refined quality, encapsulating and elevating the essence of Colombian coffee.
SINGLE ORIGIN FILTERS
ICHAMARA, KENYA 200g
Your classic Kenyan but even better. This coffee hails from Ichamara coffee factory in Nyeri, nestled at the base of Mt Kenya – an area famed for producing the country’s finest beans. This exceptional coffee honours the beloved berry notes of Kenyan profiles, but with an unmatched sweetness that sets it apart from any we’ve tasted before.

INDRAGIRI, INDONESIA 200g
Flavour that doesn’t hold back. Java Indragiri coffee is grown by 191 smallholder farmers in the Rancabali Subdistrict of Bandung, West Java, at elevations of 1400 to 1700 meters. The Ateng Ijo and Ateng Coklat varieties benefit from the favourable climate and rich soil of the region, contributing to the quality and unique flavour of the coffee.

CORAZON DE JESUS, COSTA RICA 200g
Yes, you’re seeing double. Corazon de Jesus makes a second appearance this rotation and they’ve decided to double down with this double anaerobic natural fermentation. Widely considered among the finest producers in the Brunca region, the Alvarado Fonseca family demonstrates exactly why with this outstanding coffee.
