Finca El Jardín in La Paz, Honduras, is where farmer Mario Mejía blends care for the land with a hunger to innovate - and the world is starting to notice. One of three farms he manages, El Jardín is Mario’s playground for experimenting with new varieties and slow-drying methods, all while keeping the land thriving through agroforestry. His work has already made its way onto international cupping tables, proving there’s something special happening here.
Natural processing is still fairly new in Honduras, but El Jardín is leaning in with success. After weeks of careful drying on raised beds, this lot delivers flavours of fresh cherry, rocky road, and caramel - like comfort food in a cup.
We’ve sourced this coffee through Farm Select Coffees, a program that connects producers directly with roasters through quality premiums, traceability, and tangible financial impact. For Mario, that means more support for his farm and community - and a chance for his coffee to speak for itself.
