Rotation 8 has landed, which means new Single Origins on the shelves and, naturally, we’ve made choosing what to drink slightly more difficult.

 

They won’t be around forever. If one catches your eye, grab it while you can.

Single Origin Espresso

Tzun Witz, Guatemala

First-generation producer, Antonia began the farm with her husband, but when coffee leaf rust wiped out much of their crop, she stayed to rebuild while he left the region for work. Today, she manages the farm with support from her family and the El Sendero Cooperative, processing the coffee herself from ripe cherry through to patio drying. It’s a coffee shaped by a producer who has had to adapt, rebuild and keep moving forward.

Ratnagiri Estate, India

Ratnagiri Estate is home to abundant wildlife of, including tigers and elephants, because of the forest-like conditions. The Patre family has farmed here since 1927, with Ashok Patre now leading the estate and pushing Indian coffee into more experimental territory.  Ripe Hemavathi cherries are fermented for 96 hours in carbon dioxide-filled tanks with selected yeast cultures, then slowly dried for 31 days.

Banko Gotiti, Ethiopia

Banko Gotiti sits in Ethiopia’s Gedeo Zone. Cherry are handpicked and delivered it to Banko Gotiti Washing station, where it is carefully sorted before being dried for around 21 days on raised beds. The station has 89 drying beds, and each one is marked with a code that makes it simple to keep track of traceability and processing status. The result is a natural that brings together the delicate florals, jammy berry and chocolate that make a Yirgacheffe coffee so recognisable.

Filter Single Origin

El Shalon, Colombia

El Shalon sits in La Unión, where Milton Garzón Fierro has spent his life around coffee. He grows everything from Tabi and Pink Bourbon to Caturra, Castillo and Colombia, switching between natural, honey and washed processes depending on the lot. For Milton, there’s no fixed formula — the work is about paying attention, asking questions and finding a better way with each harvest.

Daterra-Reserve, Brazil

Daterra’s Reserve is made up of the coffees that stand out during the crop but don't quite fit anywhere else on the menu. This one is a  rounded filter with yellow fruit, hazelnut and butterscotch, backed by white sugar sweetness and a sparkling acidity. Expect a classic Brazil profile, with a nice milk chocolate sweetness - it's smooth, creamy and easy to drink everyday.

Finca El Limo, El Salvador

For this lot, ripe cherries are fermented in sealed bags for 68–72 hours before spending around a month slowly drying on raised beds. It’s a coffee that brings Jose’s traditional farming knowledge together with his willingness to experiment.

Gesha Village - Oma Lot 140, Ethiopia

Gesha Village sits between 1,900 and 2,100 metres in western Ethiopia, where Adam Overton and his team have built a farm around the Geisha 1931 variety.  The cherries are naturally processed, allowing the variety’s floral and fruit character to take centre stage. 

In the cup, it's refined with floral notes - expect a journey from the first sip to the last.
