This month we’ve got some funky delights that'll take your coffee journey to new heights. Special guests include a rare treat from Ratnagiri Estate, plus, a unique Catigua varietal from Daterra, Brazil.
This one’s for the hidden gem seekers, Ratnagiri Estate, India. Smells like hibiscus, tastes like hibiscus, contrasted yet enhanced by scrumptious raspberry with a hint of milk chocolate finish. We don’t often offer coffees from this origin – make sure you savour it!
This coffee has as much depth as a double bass player! Purely the definition of richness and depth, this espresso from Myanmar begins with complex orange marmalade which intertwines with ripe cherries and a decadent marzipan finish.
Sta Maria de Lourdes Nicaragua
To increase the horsepower of the engine that is your brain, simply drink an espresso brewed from this Sta Maria de Lourdes, Nicaragua. Because of its high altitude and excellent climate conditions, this coffee brings forth powerful and complex acidity that lasts throughout the cup. You’ll taste cranberry upfront, anchored by the sweetness of nougats, and finally transforming into orange peels in the back end.
Monteblanco - Melons Colombia 200g
After tasting this coffee - We think editors for the Oxford Dictionary should update the synonym for “melon” to include “coffee”. Because wow. This Colombian filter begins with the aroma and elegance of watermelon, evolving into lavish candied fruit and a sweet finish of honeydew melon!
La Reviera, Colombia. If you love colombian coffee, then you’re in for a ride with this one. A multi-layered tasting experience, with the acidity and flavour of blackcurrant, a richness of papaya and a herbal jelly finish.
An astoundingly exquisite coffee from India, you might even mistake it for a precious hidden relic! Sip it, and you’ll get an aroma of goji berry, dried fruits (what fruit? Some might say all of them), finishing off with a subtle sweetness of chocolate wafer.
Daterra - Masterpieces Brazil 100g
One of the most unique coffee varieties grown at Daterra is Catigua (Yellow Catuai and the Timor Hybrid had a baby). After generations of meticulous seed selection, we’re stoked to have this masterpiece on our shelves! this Brazil Filter defies the stereotypical view on Brazilian coffees, and brings forth lively jackfruits, underpinned by the smooth depth and sweetness of nougat, with notes of ginger upholding the finish.
