Our October Single Origin Line Up

This month we’ve got some funky delights that'll take your coffee journey to new heights. Special guests include a naturally processed Kenyan espresso with classic juiciness, plus, the return of our La Margarita Peru, but with a different process this time. So what are you waiting for? Read on below.

Espresso

Gulmarg Kenya

Looking for a Kenyan that’s not washed? Look no further! Here we have a natural process of mix varietals from Kiambu in Central Kenya that delivers all that classic Kenyan juiciness, but with a subtle roundness. Imagine: a bite into a ripe green apple, followed by waves of juicy black currant, then finished off with a hint of baker’s chocolate. Gimme some!

Finca La Cueva Honduras

Winter’s almost finished, but the winds still blows chilly – there’s no better time to pamper yourself with the warm flavours of ripe nectareous apricots, sweet rhubarb, and smooth 70% dark chocolate. Honduras coffees are predominantly washed processed, so this natural Catuai offers a quick peek into the evolving coffee scene of Honduras. And no doubt, this spro will have you wish Winter be longer!

Blueberry Crumble

Introducing the last of 2023’s limited edition Flavour Savour’s, Blueberry Crumble! Roasted with the frothers in mind (any milk choice will do), turn your face blue with tasting notes of blueberry compote, berries of the forest, blueberry cheesecake and blueberry danish. It’s a blueberry bonanza. Don’t worry, no Willy Wonka tricks, over consumption is expected with no Violet Beauregarde like side effects.

La Margarita Peru 100g

If coffee tasting is a journey, this will be your Emirates First Class seat 1A. High altitude, quality soil, and a unique, meticulous processing method delivers this Peru geisha to an astounding level of quality. Firstly, elegant and pristine florals of white nectarines pervade the olfactory receptors, then, the delicate, every-so-slightly sweet presence of honeysuckle drapes over the palette, finishing with a nourishing, silky mouthfeel, underpinned with a subtle aftertaste of coconut water. It’s not often where you wish the flight to be longer than it has to be!

Hti Ta Maung Myanmar

Berries, Berries, Berries, Very Many Berries! A mouthful of sweet ripe raspberries intertwined with luscious red currant juice, altogether supported by the subtle depth and juiciness of blackberries. Here’s what can be said - Dom Toretto has his family, but that is nothing compared to our relationship with producer Melanie Edwards and seeing miraculous improvements in their quality of coffees over the years. Now that’s family, but even better – it’s a drinkable one!

Finca Andalucia Colombia

Springtime is blooming and approaching fast, carrying with it a basket full of fresh pink lady apples, kiwi, and a drizzle of light caramel. Now that’s an imagery of this Colombian Pink Bourbon – lightly tropical with a breeze of lively, fresh, Springtime air. If you’re looking for something funky, yet not too heavy, this will be your delight!

Kamala Atu Lintang Indonesia

Heavy Armour inbound! This Anaerobic Natural Sigarar Utang leaves deep tracks on the tropical, funky route. Powerful hits of pomegranate juice and matured, ripened cherries dominate this cup, followed by a sweet finish of cacao nibs. From Atu Lintang and Central Aceh, this is a must-grab for those who have yet to experience the funky, boozy side of Indonesian coffees (or for those who simply wish for a decadently tropical cup).
